Citroën DS19 1956 Chassis number 2308 On June 11 1956 a brand new Champagne & Aubergine Citroën DS19 was delivered to the Citroën dealer Anders Cederholm in Helsingborg, Sweden. Three days later the car was delivered to its first owner, a factory manager in Malmö called Mr. Ragnar Lövendahl who kept the car for six years. On October 20 1962 the car was taken over by a teacher, Mrs Vera Ericsson, also in Malmö who kept the car until 1968 according to the documents. Thereafter the car fell out of the register in 1970 and soo fare I do not know what happened to it until the previous owner Mr. Mårten Ekelin bought the car in 1989. Since then this 56 has been stored in a barn near Malmö waiting for a new life. Before I took over I had known about the car many years, and visited the barn a few times. After all these years of storage the condition of the car is clearly well seasoned, dans son juice as the French say. Interestingly almost all unique details of the earliest DSes are still intact, as well as some unique mysteries… I really look forward to a careful archeological excavation, restoration and conservation, with plenty of work and research to do.
This 1962 ID19 Super confort, with 71000km within the same family, was ordered new by the previous owners grandfather as a 50 years birthday gift to his daughter in 1962. Special factory order with Aubergine roof to Bleu pacific body and Helenca Bleu interior. The previous owner inherited the car from his aunt in 1986 and has taken good care of the dream machine until I took over. For the record: This car still has all its funny Swedish 1962 specifications: -Alu bumpers. -DS type stainless steel roof trim and trumpets. -DS hup caps (on a Super Confort) -DS type B & C pillar covers. -Enormous rear mud flaps. -Enormous rear reflectors. -Thicker DS style carpets. -Extra heating...
1973 DS20 I found this beautiful time capsule resting in a garage in Gothenburg, Sweden. The previous owner Mr. Hans G Andersson, a well known Citroën enthusiast, rescued the car in 1990 after the first owner, Mr. Carl Andersson, had passed away. Both gentlemen really cared for the car and it has survived in an astonishing condition inside out. Since Hans G is getting older he decided to find a new owner for the car which he called "DaiSy". After weeks of pleasant discussions and adoption interviews I could finally see the car in person, later that day we had an agreement and I started the careful journey back Stockholm through the Swedish landscape. Since then I have enjoyed this wonderful machine and focused on carefully conserve and preserve the car in the spirit of the two previous owners. Chassis no: 4.715.658 (CI 0401 / X24075) Semiautomatic gearbox 84000km Untouched, never restored, rust free. Original paint (AC 084 Ivoire Borely) Original interior (Velours or clair) Looks, feels, sounds, smells and drives almost like new!
